My name is Paul Bell.
I am a British Chartered Physiotherapist and Professional cycle guide.
I am bilingual in English and French and have lived for many years on the Côte d'Azur. Passionate about cycling, I am privileged to be able to tackle the routes for which Riviera Cycling is world famous.
As a member of the IFC Nice Cycling club and having guided cyclists for years in the region my knowledge of Côte d'Azur cycling is second to none.
My objective is to share this magnificent region with other cyclists and introduce them to the secrets of wonderful Riviera Cycling tours at affordable prices.
Let me plan and guide you through your chosen itinerary, whether you're a tourist visiting Nice and looking for a sightseeing tour outside Nice and along the coast, or an experienced cyclist who has heard all about the world class cycling available on the French Riviera, I have a tailor made itinerary for you.
Avoid the stress and hassle of trying to find the best routes out of Nice on your own.;
under my guidance you will be amazed at how quickly we are on routes that seem to be reserved almost exclusively for us.
As a member of the health care profession I am also passionate about the remarkable potential that cycling has to improve both physical and emotional health and I am focused on promoting these benefits as a form of prophylactic healthcare for all.
You can use my local experience and language skills to assist with bike rental and airport transfers if required; as well as recommending hotels, restaurants and bars, places to go and things to see in and around Nice, in order to make your Riviera Cycling experience unforgettable.
Advantages of guided cycling.
Your safety is my number one priority.
Using my local knowledge, acquired after many years cycling the Côte d'Azur, I take you on the best, quietest and safest routes at all times, allowing you to discover a world really not available without intimate local knowledge.
Flexibility to adapt your itinerary at a moments notice.
A mountain road is closed due to road works or landslide; you feel stronger than anticipated at the outset of the ride and want a more challenging itinerary; you start to run out of steam or feel unwell.
All these scenarios we can deal with on the spot by adapting your bespoke program.
First hand local knowledge of all the best routes.
Many cyclists are familiar with the regions iconic cols, but that's just the tip of the iceberg, that means literally dozens of possible routes which can be tailored to your unique specifications.
Visit beautiful medieval villages, locate water fountains, boulangeries and restaurants and very importantly, know opening times of boulangeries on each route, which can be few and far between once into the mountains.
Cameraderie, encouragement, coaching and conversation, and you never know when you may need a fluent French speaker.
You really can't beat the personal touch and there's nothing like sharing your ride with someone else.
Don't forget," life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop to look around once in a while you might miss it".
